Qur’an Preservation Network If you notice Mushafs needing urgent protection, WhatsApp a photo and the location immediately.
Volunteer with QP Network

Your time, skills and responsibility can strengthen the Qur’an preservation network.

Volunteer roles are designed to support safe collection, awareness, coordination and documentation under approved procedures.

Why a Volunteer Network?

Local support is essential for an accessible collection system.

Responsible local volunteers can connect households, institutions, collection points and operational teams.

Possible roles include collection-point support, pickup coordination, awareness, documentation, institutional follow-up and local communications.

Trustworthiness and responsibility are the most important qualities for a volunteer.

  • Accept QP Network’s preservation-first approach.
  • Be prepared to handle Mushafs respectfully.
  • Stay within the scope of the assigned role.
  • Keep user and donor personal information confidential.
  • Be prepared to follow instructions, training and approved operating procedures.
  • Maintain reliable communication.
  • Report issues or incidents rather than concealing them.
Volunteer Onboarding

A structured process from volunteer interest to an active role.

01 — Interest We accept applications from interested volunteers through the online request.
02 — Basic Review We review the applicant’s location, availability and preferred areas through our platform.
03 — Orientation Explains preservation principles, data privacy, safety and awareness consistent with Shariah requirements.
04 — Role Assignment Clear responsibilities are assigned according to each person’s suitability and local needs.
Training & Approved Operating Procedures

Enthusiasm alone is not enough for volunteer service — the correct procedure must be understood.

Depending on the role, volunteers should be briefed on basic handling guidance, collection procedures, records, privacy, escalation, safety and Shariah-sensitive boundaries.

When Collection Point or doorstep collection responsibilities become active, the aim is to provide a practical approved operating procedure or quick-reference guide.

Volunteer Code of Conduct

A basic code of conduct that every volunteer must follow.

  • Always handle Mushafs with respect.
  • Do not divert collected material for personal use.
  • Do not redistribute without approval.
  • Do not carry out final handling without approval.
  • Do not share the personal details of doorstep collection requesters or donors.
  • Do not raise funds using the QP Network name without authorisation.
  • Do not falsely represent yourself as an official Collection Point or coordinator.
  • If asked for a religious ruling, do not present personal opinion as a fatwa.
Shariah-Sensitive Boundaries

A volunteer role is not religious authority.

In inspection, classification, repair and restoration, redistribution and final handling, a volunteer’s role must remain limited to the assigned responsibility.

Matters requiring a specific religious ruling should be escalated to qualified scholars or recognised religious authorities.

Privacy & Data Protection

Information about a doorstep collection requester is not a volunteer’s personal information.

Name, phone number, WhatsApp, address, GPS location, quantity and notes should be used only to the extent required to coordinate the assigned responsibility.

Do not share user information through screenshots, personal contact lists, social-media groups or public messages.

Time Commitment

You do not need to be a full-time volunteer.

Depending on your availability, you can participate in weekend support, periodic Collection Point support, on-demand doorstep collection assistance, awareness work, documentation, digital support and institutional coordination.

Reliability is what matters. There is nothing wrong with declining an assignment when you are unavailable.

What Volunteers Must Not Do

Avoid unauthorised action even when the intention is good.

  • Do not declare a Collection Point on your own.
  • Do not collect money without QP Network approval.
  • Do not unnecessarily keep collected Mushafs at home.
  • Do not choose a final-handling method independently.
  • Do not pass user details to others.
  • Do not publish unverified statistics or claims in the name of QP Network.
